Twig . Pisces, Mutable Water
[Bass, Backing vox, Hand percussion]
"Ever since I met you, you've been walking a tightrope between genius and madness. I've seen you wobble, but I've never seen you fall."
Twig's earliest memories are of music. As a fetus, his mom would hold the radio against her lap so he could hear. As an infant, she would sing to him and make up songs for him. As a toddler, Twig remembers listening to the lyrics of 'Cats In The Cradle' and sobbing all day for the little boy and his father. As a child, he sang in church, starred in church musicals, sang in Honors Chorus, and sang in his sleep. As a teen, he started his first band, Naked Fringe, which garnered minor international attention due to the influence of Napster.
Naked Fringe morphed many times, changing members and instrumentation. The final lineup including James Oylen on keys, broke up just before the release of the debut album in 2001.
Already, Twig had been jamming with James and was inspired and excited by his then-solo project, Interrogation. When approached by James to join the live band he agreed immediately.
In the history of Twig's friendship with James and Yveline they have each grown as artists, as human beings, and as robots. Giant robots that transform into cars or planes. They have also learned pyrokinetic powers and have special capes that make them fly. |
